I was taken into Salisbury District Hospital on Boxing Day where I spent six nights on Whiteparish Ward.

I had superb nursing – nothing was too much trouble for them.

I was then transferred to Pitton Ward for 14 more nights. Pitton is my second home as I have been in there four times now, and I know nearly all the staff and the lovely sister of the ward.

What can I say about Pitton Ward? The cleanliness is superb, as are the staff, the food and the atmosphere.

My special thanks must go to Dr A Warley and his team for getting me on the road to recovery once again.

A TEAM of staff based at Fountain Way have raised nearly £700 to improve the garden facilities at Amblescroft South.

Dressed up as Santa Dave Wills, community psychiatric nurse at Fountain Way, and his team of helpful elves – work colleagues, family members and friends – all took turns on two exercise bikes outside Sainsbury’s in Salisbury on Saturday, December 1.

The original aim was to raise £300 to pay for raised beds and some planting equipment but we managed to raise £700, about half of which was donated on the day by the generous people of Salisbury.

Thanks to Sainsbury’s and LA Fitness who supported us.

DALEWOOD Rise, where I live, is a very steep hill, and with the weather we have had it has been very slippery. I would like to say a big thank you to all our neighbours up the hill and beyond who got their spades out and cleared the snow and ice from the hill from top to bottom and round the corner. Thank you.
