SALISBURY City have Lee Brown available again for Saturday’s Blue Square Premier home game with Gateshead.

The QPR loanee was suspended for Tuesday's 4-2 FA Cup replay win over Farnborough, after being sent off in the first game.

Matt Tubbs netted a hat trick to take his tally for the season to 14, and Chris Flood made sure that Farnborough would suffer their first defeat of the campaign despite leading at the break.

“At half time I just tried to tell the lads to believe in what we’ve been planning since before the first game,” said Tommy Widdrington.

“The areas where we could hurt them would remain the same.

“Our pace, movement and fitness levels are obviously better than theirs, and I think that bore fruit in the end.”

The victory earned City a First Round tie at Coca-Cola League Two outfit Accrington Stanley on Saturday, November 7.

“I always maintain that the gulf between the Conference South and the Conference is bigger than from the Conference to League Two,” he said.

“We are not expected to win the game but we will try to win and if we don’t, we will try not to lose the tie.”

Before that, Salisbury entertain struggling Gateshead, who beat them 2-1 last month when the players fell below the management’s expectations.

“It was the one time this season when I do feel that we left our game in the dressing room,” said Widdrington.

“I’m not expecting an easy ride at all, but we have done well at home this season in all the games, even the one that we lost.”
