A FLAT Salisbury were condemned to defeat on Tuesday night beaten at home by Weston-super-Mare.
In their first meeting since April 2023 Salisbury FC were beaten two-nil at the Ray Mac by Weston-super-Mare, but there was more than a hint of controversy.
Salisbury had a goal disallowed in the first half and the Seagulls were granted a goal in the second that has a suspicion of offside.

Speaking after the game, Brian conceded it was difficult match against a good Seagulls side and that quality was lacking.
"I didn't think we were at our fluid best, I thought it was a very bitty game. I sensed it before the match; I warned the lads.
"Often, after the lord mayors show, teams are flat and that's what we were. We were a flat side tonight, we didn't really get anything going."
Brian asserted that the "bitty" game was decided by set-pieces, as well as the decision not to grant Salisbury their goal.
Dutton added: "We've been on the wrong side of some terrible luck with the decision-making by some officials.
"I'm not one to go on about officials, but Josh Hedges has scored a goal that was a yard on-side."
Brian continued: "And then their [Weston-super-Mare] first goal, it's just clearly off-side."
The loss was Salisbury's first since being booted out the FA Cup by Bath City, but in a tight division it has seen them drop to 15th.
Salisbury are barely seven points off the relegation zone, yet also only five points from seventh.
The defeat was also Salisbury's first in the league since their defeat to league-leaders Farnborough FC in a three-one drubbing on September 7.
Salisbury will next see action away against Chelmsford City as they go to Essex hoping to recatch the unbeaten form they enjoyed until Tuesday night.
The Whites recently acquired 22 year-old Callum Watts from Chelmsford City, who scored three goals in 37 appearances in all competitions for the club last season.
