A golf club in the New Forest held a women's golf day to celebrate women's involvement with the sport.
On Saturday, June 1, Bramshaw Golf Club invited women to celebrate Women's Golf Day by offering games for experienced players and lessons for those new to the sport.
General manager Molly Pavey said: “It’s been exciting to see Bramshaw Golf Club included in press around the world.
“Women’s Golf Day is just one of the initiatives we’re supporting this year to bring more women and children into the sport. I learnt to play from the age of 8 and made friends then that I still have today, so I am really passionate about getting more people playing golf.”
Participant Rebecca Cork added: “Golf is such a great sport for making new friends. Out on the course you spend more time chatting and walking than you do hitting a golf ball!
"And it’s really good exercise. We have had so much fun today learning new skills and tasting the gin in The Bell Inn. The people we’ve met and the places have been are all so welcoming.”
They finished the games with a gin tasting at sister venue "The Bell Inn".
