Salisbury Rugby Football Club (SRFC) has seen continued growth in girls rugby squads (U12-U18s) for the third year in a row.
After starting with just eight girls in 2021 the club now has 60 girls across all ages and is looking to enter teams in local leagues next season.
The girls teams are proudly sponsored by Chemring Countermeasures.
The club said: “Rugby really is a great team sport, great for resilience, fitness, strength and friendships are made for life.
“SRFC would like to invite girls of all ages to give rugby a go. No experience is necessary, we have fully trained coaches who will make sure you are looked after and safe.”
SRFC has an aim to have a full women’s squad also playing in a league in the next few years.
Girls can play rugby from the age of five, starting with tag rugby and develop to tackling in line with the RFU guidelines.
If you want to give rugby a go then go along in August to the taster seasons at the club on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6.30pm to give it a go.
The full season restarts on September 1 at 10am at the rugby club on Castle Road.
