ALL of CoSARC’s competitors, young and old, put in fantastic performances in the final Salisbury Athletics League match of the season on a warm, early autumn day.
CoSARC came second overall following victories in the following events: Jaymee Domoney, men’s 1,500m, 5,000m. Lilly-Anne Keogh, women’s under-17 400m. Beatrice Wood, women’s under-20 800m. Imogen Gray, women’s under-17 1,500m. Elizabeth Norton, women’s under-20 1,500m. Amelia Watling, women’s under-20 100m hurdles, ‘A’ long jump. Imogen Tanner, women’s under-20 2,000m steeplechase. Katie Clements, women’s 2000m steeplechase, hammer (PB). Emily Cartledge, women’s ‘B’ long jump, javelin. Harriet Legg, women’s ‘A’ triple jump. Molly Hole, women’s ‘A’ shot putt.
Several runners represented CoSARC at the New Forest Marathon weekend, which was held over roads, hard packed gravel trails and forest enclosures in the New Forest.
This was the first time the event was held in Brockenhurst since 2019. In the half-marathon, Kieran McManus recorded a brilliant time of 1:37:24.
In the 10km there were superb results from Jacky Chlebowski (1:05:29),
Carol Chlebowski (1:05:30) and Petra Oyston (1:11:11).
Respectful silences were held at both parkruns to commemorate the passing of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
There were a clutch of PBs over the weekend. At Salisbury, there were Tyler Robinson (20:24), Edward Cane (21:45) and Nick Lay (21:50). At Churchill Gardens Junior parkrun, PBs were earned by James Gabriel (07:08) and Jayden Main (08:26).
