THE 33rd edition of the Overton 5 Mile was the first match of the 2022-23 Hampshire Road Race League season.
The runners had to overcome a hilly course on a hot and humid day.
CoSARC’s US-based runner, Jaymee Domoney, ran a fantastic race to win in a time of 25:01, finishing 25 seconds ahead of the second-placed runner.
Imogen Tanner was first CoSARC lady home in a brilliant time of 33:00.
Other finishers for CoSARC were Matt Gervais 30:45, Dave Gervais 32:21, Charlotte Ingram 34:07, Joe Cunningham 35:27, Nick Lay 36:33 PB, Michelle Boucher 46:02 in her first competitive race and Kate Buttimer 48:08.
Warminster Carnival Chase 10K was a hilly course that was run mainly on roads, with short off road sections that took the runners through local woods.
Chris Simm finished fourth, narrowly missing out on third place in a sprint for the finish line. He finished in an excellent time of 40:18.
At Salisbury Parkrun, CoSARC junior James Gabriel did very well to finish as the first club runner home in a time of 19:09.
At Churchill Gardens junior parkrun, Freddie Bosworth was first finisher in 7:13, with James Gabriel not far behind in second place in 7:18.
