COSARC competed in the penultimate Southern Athletics League match at the Winchester University Track.
Everyone performed superbly well in the multi-disciplinary track and field events on a very hot and sticky day, writes Vasen Moodley.
The Kempton Park racecourse half marathon started an hour early at 9am due to the expected extremely high temperatures later in the day.
Despite the early start it was still a very hot run. The organisers had provided much needed water for the competitors and supporters to hydrate themselves during the race.
The supporters were stretched thinly around the the four-lap course, which made the race even more tougher for the racers. Despite this, Jo Marks ran a fantastic time of 2:23:31.
The Midnight Marathon was run on the South Down Way. The clear night made the terrain look like the surface of the moon.
Mike White battled 3,500 feet of elevation to finish in an excellent time of 5:38:58.
There were PBs at Salisbury Parkrun for three speedy runners from CoSARC on another hot morning in Churchill Gardens.
Matthew Gervais did the double of running a PB and finishing first in 17:50. PBs also went to Chris Simm 18:58 and Paul Downie 19:10.
