SALISBURY City boss Nick Holmes will be among an estimated 300 runners and walkers taking part in Sunday's charity event at the club's Raymond McEnhill Stadium.

Holmes will join serious competitors and fun-runners and walkers in the ten kilometre multi-terrain run which starts and finishes at the home of the Whites.

Everyone completing the course will receive medals and there are a number of special prizes up for grabs to age category winners.

Supported by City's main sponsors In-Excess, the event will be raising funds for Salisbury District Hospital's Stars Appeal.

Holmes confirmed he would be taking part in the event: "I shall definitely be running! I've already done a practice run and I shall be hoping to get back to the stadium inside an hour."

The ten kilometre race starts at 10am with the five mile fun run/walk getting under way 30 minutes later.

There is still time to take part in the event, which is staged under England Athletics Rules.

Ring race organiser Ludo Macauley on 01722 332211 or the club's office on 01722 326454 for entry forms and for more details.

Entry is £8 in advance (club runners) and £10 (non-affiliated).
