WITH Farley’s two Saturday sides both slumping to heavy defeats - despite Harry Jenkins notching up a ton at South Wilts fourths - it was left to the midweek team to restore some pride, writes Paul Roberts.
Batting first at Shrewton, Farley were quickly in trouble to the pace of Will Harries (4-15).
Ben Onyuro, recently returned from an extended stint in Estonia, was altogether more comfortable and reached an excellent half century. Farley closed on 123-8.
After Antony removed the dangerous Rikki Clarke, a tight spell from Manny Gurung - backed by superb fielding - kept Shrewton in check.
It came down to 12 needed from the final over, but Farley kept their cool and Shrewton ended two runs short.
