MOONRAKERS Judo Club welcomes a very special guest this weekend when former World champion and two-time Olympic silver medallist Neil Adams, MBE, visits their Godolphin School headquarters.
The judo legend will be instructing club members on Saturday and is then available for fee-paying (£5) sessions on Sunday.
Adams rose to fame in 1980 with a silver medal at the Moscow Games, then became world champion in the under 78kg category the following year before receiving the MBE for services to the sport.
A second Olympic silver followed in the Los Angeles Games in 1984 and as well as winning a record 21 British titles, he has since established himself as a top coach leading the British squad to the Atlanta Games in 1996.
He is currently the Welsh national coach.
