JAMES Mills ran a fantastic race to win the White Star Moreton Marathon.
Competing around the grounds of the Moreton Estate & Equestrian Centre, Mills came home in first place in a time of 3:30:29.
After a two year enforced absence, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Race For Men was back.
On a cool, dry and overcast day 235 runners were blessed with a gentle cooling breeze as they ran in support of research into prostate cancer.
Between them they walked, plodded and ran 3k, 10k or a half-marathon race.
A number of CoSARC runners earned themselves a trophy for coming first in their age or gender category.
The Iffley Festival of Miles was run on the Roger Bannister Track.
Thomas Dewey was the well deserved winner in a PB time of 4:54:31. Richard Davidson just missed out on a sub-five minute by finishing in 5:00:39.
The Brutal Events Midnight Mountain Marathon was run in the Brecon Beacons, taking in a number of summits including Pen y Fan. Pete Bott ran through lightning, thunder, rain, hail and sleet to finish in 6:01:25.
In the Romsey five-mile Beer Race Mike Brewster finished in 32:32, and Sarah Brewster in 36:20. She was first in her age category.
At Salisbury parkrun, Charlotte Ingram and Olivia Barnett bagged themselves PBs. At Churchill Gardens junior parkrun, James Gabriel was first finisher and George Sutton also got a PB.
