SALISBURY RFC Girls squad helped host the Dorset and Wilts Ladies team take on Somerset Ladies at Castle Road, writes Jason Yarwood.
After providing a guard of honour, the girls helped with the water, kicking tee and match balls.
Somerset got off to to a flyer with two early tries down the left wing.
D&W then started to play well and held on and pulled a try back. The second half was fairly even but Somerset were better at taking and finishing the chances.
In the end, Somerset were just too strong with the final score being 41-5 to the visitors.
Unfortunately this makes D&W bottom of the table after two matches with one left to play.
