DI MATTINGLY braved snow and freezing temperatures to run the Frozen Lake HM in Oslo, Norway.
The entire route was on a frozen lake, with incredible snowy mountains as a backdrop. Although the sun shone bright the temperature was just one degree celcius. Despite this, Mattingly skated round in 2:21:11.
In the Schools Home International Cross-Country in Cardiff, Sophie Nicholls did superbly well when she finished fourth and helped England win the team event.
Participants in the Coombe Gibbet 16 Mile had perfect weather for running on a warm spring afternoon. CoSARC runners Steve Mitchell finished in 2:17:16, with Jonathan Kershaw coming home in 3:03:01.
In the Jurassic Coast 40 mile, Mike White tackled 5,138 feet of elevation to finish in 9:41:00.
CoSARC’s representative in the USA, Jaymee Domoney set a new club record in the Raleigh Relays in North Carolina. He completed his 1,500 metre leg in a brilliant 3:44:73. In the Sheffield HM Anton Weatherhead earned himself a one minute PB when he finished in 1:14:52.
In the Run Through Bedford Aerodrome races, Richard Davidson was first in age in 17:07, and Charlotte Boardman ran a very quick 1:44:22 in the half marathon. She was second in age and set a new PB of 2 mins 32 secs.
In the Calne Clock Change 10K Peter Callanan clocked 37:25 to finish first in age.
