SALISBURY runners braved the elements over the past week to complete the Hampshire Cross Country League season.
Taking place at Popham Airfield, members of CoSARC competed on Saturday, just a few hours on from Storm Eunice.
Running in wet, windy and cold conditions, the muddy circuit proved tough with the first member from the Salisbury club home in each category as follows: under-13 girls - Sophie Wood (4th), under-13 boys - James Gabriel (10th), under-15 girls - Izzy West (33rd), under-15 boys - Charlie Coles (12th), under-17 women - Daisy Badger (11th), under-17 men - Cameron Jacobs (21st).
In the senior ladies race, Anne-Marie Bayliss placed 17th, while Michael Beckett finished 28th in the senior men's.
The Winchester 10k was also run this week, on the hilly and challenging route around the city boundaries.
There was only one diversion, due to a fallen tree.
Finishing times from the CoSARC runners were: Kieran McManus 45:37, Petra Oyston 1:03:03 and Janine Kemm 1:05:47.
With the organisers providing a safe environment, Salisbury parkrun and Junior parkrun both continued, even though nearly 300 parkruns around the country had to cancel due to the impact of the weather.
