DOWNTON kept up their push for promotion, as they beat a much improved visiting Andover Town side last Saturday.
The Robins won the game with a single goal which came after 62 minutes.
It came from a headed goal from leading scorer TJ Moseley which took his tally for the season to 14.
The victory kept them fourth spot in the table which is the final promotion place this season in the Wessex League Division One.
On Tuesday night, Downton were in Bournemouth Senior Cup quarter-final action at home to Premier Division Bashley.
The visitors from the New Forest had much the better of the first 45 minutes as they built up a 3-0 lead by the break.
Then 10 minutes into the second half, Bashley added a fourth and it looked like the game was over.
However, the Robins hit back as Dan Telfer scored from the penalty spot and on 71 minutes Dan Telfer made it 4-2.
Downton were reduced to 10 men, but still scored a third goal from Moseley from the spot as they nearly produced the comeback of the season.
This Saturday, Downton are away at Romsey.
