PUPILS from Leehurst Swan competed at the Independent Schools Association national athletics championships and won a record five medals, including one gold, a silver and three bronze.
Twelve Leehurst Swan pupils took part in the ISA national athletics championships.
Josh McMullan won gold in the year five high jump, Hannah Norton won silver in the year five 600m, Lily Roberts got bronze in the 100m and 200m in the year ten/eleven age group and Immy Tanner got bronze in the 1500m in the year eight/nine age group.
Head of PE Mrs Pearce said following the success: “To make it to the nationals and compete against top competition will be an stand out memory. To come away with five medals is brilliant and we are all thrilled.”
Other athletes involved in the event were; Rosie Cox, who came 4th in the hurdles, Hamish Taylor, who came 5th in the hurdles, Laila Galpin came 5th in the 600m, Archie Mould, came 5th in the triple jump, Eva Howard came 5th in the rounders ball throw, Imogen Fox came 6th in the 1500m and Ben Collingridge who came 6th in the 1500m.
