WINTERSLOW-based Clarendon Juniors Football Club are celebrating their most successful season ever, with the Under 18s having recently secured the club’s ninth winners trophy of the 2016/17 campaign.
The Under 18s joined the Under 16s and Under 15s as Testway League Champions in their respective age groups, securing this unprecedented triple success on the very last day of the season.
The club celebrations were not limited to league successes for the older age groups, but were contributed to by multiple cup victories for the Under 7s and Under 8s, cup runner up medals for the Under 11s and Under 15s, plus league cup runners up and Invitational Cup winning medals for the under 16s.
Martyn Moody, club vice-chairman said: "This season has been a huge success for all of our teams and not just because of our healthy trophy cabinet. Player and coach development continues to be one of the great strengths of Clarendon Juniors FC.
"We have this year supported numerous players and coaches to achieve formal coaching and refereeing qualifications and have seen the players across the club benefit from this investment in knowledge."
