ELLINGHAM & Ringwood’s seconds finished their league season in seventh place with an impressive 15-8 win away at Puddletown on Saturday in Dorset Division 2.
The New Forest outfit started well and, after ten minutes and several good phases of play, their full back Jack Galton scored a good try under the posts, which fly half Ollie Harvey converted.
But Puddletown came back strongly, scoring a try and a penalty to give them an 8-7 lead at the break.
Ellingham were able to dominate most of the second half and regained a 12-8 lead when their wing three quarter Brad Evans finished off a good move to score in the corner. Ollie Harvey then kicked a penalty to make the final score 15-8.
