FC SALISBURY United made home advantage count with a 7-5 victory over Birmingham Tigers in the FA Futsal Cup.

More than 200 spectators watched the city side cruise to victory at Fivers Rivers Leisure Centre.

The hosts stormed into a five-goal lead come the interval after multiple goal scorers struck.

England Futsal international Luke Ballinger got the first before Connor Millar doubled their lead.

Seb Dawes stretched United’s lead with some excellent link up play and finished at close range.

Then Eddie Perrett, 24 hours after suffering FA Vase heartbreak with Salisbury, tucked home a fourth and soon after turned assist, setting up Phil Berntsen for a fifth.

Birmingham responded with a goal on the break to go in at half time 5-1.

The visitors pulled back a further two goals, but Salisbury responded through Kieran Stephens.

Birmingham twice came back again and missed the chance to level it when Paddy Crease made a top class save from the penalty spot.

Ballinger made sure of the victory with a strike late on.

Head coach Geoff Bonner said after the game: "This victory is down to the entire squad and the hard work they put into the game.

"With over 200 hundred fans pushing us on, it was the perfect conditions for such an exciting spectacle."
