FC SALISBURY United continued their fine form in the National Futsal League South Division 2 with an 8-4 victory over high-flying London Zappsport.
The Corinthians started brightly but both sides cancelled each other out and the score remained goalless until the 14th minute when Kieran Stephens rifled home from the right.
Zappsport responded with a goal, but Stephens restored United's lead with another fine strike.
Going in 2-1 at half time buoyed the team and, from the kick off, United’s skipper, Phil Bernsten, scored within nine seconds.
Connor Millar and Russell Parsons got in on the act to help stretch their lead to 5-1.
Zappsport responded to the score line by changing their tactics with three more goals but United scored a further four to see the game out.
Bernsten told the Journal: "Three wins in our last four games has given us a real boost, the squad has grown in confidence and with this being our first season in the national league we are developing our own understanding of all that is required as a team.
Our next game is away to Southampton so we are in good spirits for our local derby."
FC Salisbury United hope to replicate reaching last year’s FA Futsal Cup finals with a first round home draw against Birmingham Tigers on Sunday, March 20.
