SOUTH Newton & Wishford booked their place in the Charity A Cup final, beating Stockton & Codford 2-1.

Stockton headed in an early opener, and hit the post early in the second half. This seemed to wake Newton up, and the evergreen Mickey Ball notched an equaliser midway through the half with a stooping back-post header.

When leading goalscorer Rich Tutton was played in one-on-one with the goalkeeper eight minutes from time, the comeback was complete, and they will meet Wanderers in the final at Downton on Wednesday, March 27.

In the Premier Division, Porton Sports' Dan Booth came back to haunt his old side Tisbury United. The home team did have a half-time lead though, with a well-worked goal. Mike Budd had Porton's best chance in the opening period but his lob went just over the bar.

Andy Mearns' shot was saved and Booth was on hand to level with his first Porton goal. Booth quickly made it 2-1, rifling into the bottom corner from Budd's brilliant dummy. Budd got the third Porton goal himself, coming out on top in a one-on-one on the break.

In Division One, Halfway House reserves came back to win a 3-2 thriller at Boscombe Down Rec Club.

The home team went two up, thanks to a defensive lapse in concentration and a one-on-one. James Hennessy pulled one back with a header from Chris Cullen's corner.

Cullen received his marching orders for a second yellow card early in the second half, but Halfway were galvanised and Hennessy equalised with another bullet header with ten minutes to go. Then Aaron Thornborough turned his marker before smashing home from the edge of the box.

Chalke Valley beat Nomansland & Landford 2-1, going 2-0 up by half time, although Dean Reynolds pulled one back with the woodwork and goal-line clearances preventing an equaliser.

Durrington WMC completed the double over Enford with a 2-0 win. Rich Toomer broke the deadlock in the second half with a smart finish from James Kenny's corner, then Jason Dennison rounded the goalkeeper for his first of the season.
