Both age groups demonstrated their ability to adapt and learn on the spot, reinforcing the values of teamwork, effort, and fun.

Meanwhile, back at Hudson’s Field, the U16 and U18 girls’ teams welcomed players from across the region for a friendly match and developmental training.

The U16s hosted New Milton for a competitive and spirited game, while the U18s welcomed players from Bishops Wordsworth School, Sherborne RFC, and even the Isle of Wight.

The focus for the day was on building core skills in attack and defence before putting their training into action with a mixed-team game.

The day was filled with smiles, teamwork, and the spirit of Fun, Enjoyable Rugby – something Salisbury RFC is committed to fostering at every level.

Salisbury RFC Director of Youth Rugby Jason Yarwood stated: “I’ve never felt more proud watching our up-and-coming players take to the field.

"I have to also thank our main girls Sponsors, Chemring Countermeasures, as it is their contribution that makes it possible for our girls teams to have a team shirt.

Jason continued: "We have a new design agreed and we hope to receive two new sets of shirts for our U16 & U18 squads very soon."
