It was a tough weekend for our first teams but there were other good results around the club.

Salisbury Ladies 1s faced Oxford University away. Salisbury conceded a goal from open play in the first half.

The team showed great energy, both on and off the ball, with Aoife Lawrence consistently exploiting gaps in the opposition's defence, creating opportunities and putting pressure on their backline.

Alice Goodthwaite was also instrumental during this period by saving a goal on the line and Jenna Whittle provided well-timed tackles.

Women's 4s vs Wimborne Wayfarers (Image: Matt Salmon) Salisbury came out strongly in the second half, applying intense pressure on Oxford. A great run from Nic George earned Salisbury a short corner, which was expertly converted by Aoife Lawrence, levelling the score at 1-1.

Salisbury's defence remained solid, successfully defending several well-drilled short corners from Oxford.

Salisbury had to contend some tough tackling but remained composed. However, despite their effort, Salisbury ultimately conceded a second goal in the final three minutes through a well-executed flick into the right corner and the match ended 2-1.

Men’s 1s hosted what appeared at first glance a very youthful Trojans 2’s. As the game commenced it was clear the opposition were not only youthful but well drilled and skilful.

A tough first half saw the Men’s 1s concede three but Kynon Griffith McCann scored to reduce the deficit to 3-1 at the break.

The second half continued in the same vein as the first, Salisbury working hard in the hope that an opportunity would present itself, but it was not to be, and Trojans added two more to win the game 5-1.

Men’s 2s travelled to Portsmouth for a testing and physical game against United Services and won 1-0.

The Men’s 3 bounced back from last week’s loss beating Poole 1-0. Men’s 4s made it three win’s on the bounce with a 4-0 win against Southampton Otters, Striders and Strollers both played Havant winning 1-0 and losing 3-1 respectively.

The Ladies 2s worked hard but lost 3-1 at Trojans. Winchester was the destination for the Ladies 3s who lost 5-2.

The Ladies 4’s were in the game for large periods but went down to a 5-2 loss against Wimborne. Joey Bonner contributed a hat trick to a the 5s 5-0 win against Southampton.

Sunday saw the U16 Boys and Girls in action against Basingstoke and Chichester with the boys winning 3-0 and the girls losing 4-1. The U14 Boys won 5-0 against Havant.
