A Salisbury tennis club is celebrating a summer of victory as the club and its players took home a trinity of tournament wins.
Salisbury Lawn Tennis Club's aces this summer included winning a pair International Tennis Federation doubles titles and success in the Hampshire League.
Major Ben Rogers won the ITF Seniors over 35s Doubles at Wimbledon, taking-out the number one seeds and not dropping a set on his way to the title.
Speaking on his victory, the British Army's tennis captain said: "Winning the ITF seniors event at Wimbledon was a surreal and proud moment for me.
"It was one of the most enjoyable days in recent memory, and the prestige and history of Wimbledon made victory even more meaningful."
The brothers Smith tasted success at the ITF Seniors over 30’s doubles title in Eastbourne, beating the number one seeds in the final.
Head Coach Rory and Men's Club Captain Francis Smith are now ranked second and third in Great Britain for their age category as doubles players.
Rory also won a silver medal in the singles, losing narrowly in three sets to the GB captain and current world number 6 for their age category.
Ranked third in the country for singles, Rory hopes to make the GB side for the world championships next March.
Speaking on their triumph, Men's Captain Francis said: "Having lost in the final in Wrexham, it was great to go one step further in Eastbourne.
"Playing at such an iconic venue is one of the great things about the seniors ITF tour, and winning the event with my brother made it all the more rewarding."
The Salisbury club were also once again crowned champions of the Hampshire League, taking home the Division One title by staving off title challenges from Winchester and rivals Riverside.
This is the fourth time in the last five years that the club has won the Division One title, but they also had success in the lower divisions, with their ladies team winning Division Four.
Speaking on the club's league glory, veteran George Nixon said: "The Hampshire League is always one of the highlights of our season, so it feels great to once again lift the Division One title.
"Our late captain Roger Witt introduced us to the A team as juniors, and since then we've always placed importance in representing the club teams."
He continued: "It's great to win the league with such a close knit group of friends."
