RUN To The Sea was raced from Ringwood to Hengistbury Head, a phenomenal distance of 50km.
CoSARC’s fabulous five of Rob Drag 4:00:21, Vicky Robinson 5:36:12, Linda Robson 5:36:12 (first Ultra), Helen Carlton 6:10:42 and Craig Weatherburn 6:10:43 came home first in the team category.
There were testing windy conditions for the young racers in the Junior Great South Run. Freddie Bosworth finished fourth in the 12-15 year category, Lilli Clements-Champion posted a time of 9:44 in the under-15 girls (PB by 51 seconds), while Thomas Dewey ran 5K in 17:05 was first in the under-15 boys.
On an unexpectedly warm and sunny morning on the south coast CoSARC runners did not disappoint in the Great South Run with fine finishing times all round - Matt Bosworth 1:03:52, Lee Syrett 1:04:23, Mike White 1:09, Jason Bennett 1:09:37 (PB by 1:30), Anna Patrickson 1:10:26, Kieran McManus 1:11:33 (PB by 3:17), Al Moutray 1:11:45, Katie Clements 1:17:28, Jane Tucker 1:32:06, Carol Chlebowski 1:37:04, Lynda Keech 1:41:26 and Clare King 2:16:17.
Studland Stampede 12km was a tough off-road running event that was raced over heathland and sandy beaches around the beautiful location of Studland Bay. Ruth Holloway and Steve Mitchell took the honours for CoSARC.
On a hot day at the Bath Half Marathon, Tom Lay finished in 2:43:41, and at the Oxford Half Marathon Richard Williams finished in 1:59:12.
