A church's Christmas Tree Festival is going to be bigger and better than ever.

St Thomas’s Church in Salisbury is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its Christmas Tree Festival, which has grown to be one of the largest and most popular events of its kind in the UK.

With more trees and a record number of musicians, this year’s festival promises an unforgettable Christmas experience.

Opening on Tuesday, December 3, and running until Sunday, December 8, the festival offers free entry with doors open from 10am to 5.30pm Tuesday to Saturday, and 12noon to 5.30pm on Sunday.

The efforts aim to raise money for this year's nominated charities, Christians Against Poverty (CAP) and Morning Star Salisbury.

Last year, more than 12,000 visitors donated more than £20,000 to the worthy causes.

Visitors are always inspired by the creativity of the decorated trees, which evoke the true spirit of Christmas.

The festive music programme, featuring leading local groups, choirs, soloists and bands, adds to the celebration.
