‘Carols for Busy People,’ which gives people with full schedules the opportunity to enjoy Christmas carolling during their workday lunch hour, was packed to capacity at St Thomas’s Church.
The event, on Tuesday, December 19, was interspersed with readings from the Christmas story and included the presentation of funds collected from this year’s Christmas Tree Festival to Salisbury Alzheimer’s Support and Salisbury Trust for the Homeless.
Each of the charities was presented with a cheque of £7,000.
The 2023 Christmas Tree Festival was visited by more than 12,000 people from across the UK and the world, with performances from more than 1,000 musicians and an ultimate amount of £20,000 raised toward charity.
