OLD George Mall is undergoing work in a bid to attract shoppers and reinforce Salisbury as a shopping destination.
“We want people to arrive here and enjoy shopping in the city so work like this is vital to attract local and regional shoppers, new, exciting retailers and to reinforce Salisbury as an enjoyable shopping destination,” Said centre manager Jon Osgood, The Mall came under new ownership in 2009 and since then enhancement projects have been undertaken to attract new shoppers.
The work started in mid-June and includes redecorating and refurbishing areas such as Pepys Walk, parking facilities and public toilets. The work is expected to be completed later in 2010.
