ABOUT £5,000 was raised at the inaugural Nick Holmes Golf Day on Friday.
The event, held at High Post Golf Club, sold out weeks in advance and featured about 23 teams of golfers, with Derek Conti’s team crowned the winners.
The money raised will go to Salisbury District Hospital’s Stars Appeal Caring 4 Kids campaign – a charity close to the heart of the Salisbury City FC general manger, as his grandson was born prematurely.
