BELLY dancers made the party go with a storm at Barford Day Centre on Wednesday at celebrations to mark its anniversary and the work of its volunteers.
Dancers Gerry Scott and Lindsay Phillpots from Amesbury came along to the Downton centre to entertain at a tea party attended by about 45 centre users and guests, including Valerie Coleman and Peggy Gilbert, who have been volunteering since the centre’s earliest days.
Centre organiser Margaret Windel said: “It was a lovely afternoon, a few of our clients even had a go at the dancing.”
The centre needs more volunteers and anyone who can help out can contact Mrs Windel on 01725 513828.
