A SCHOOL boy, a bar owner and staff at Wilton House have all given the Stars Appeal Caring 4 Kids campaign a welcome boost.

Alex Nettle, who owns Kludo and Spirit Bar in Salisbury, raised £600 by selling passion fruit margaritas.

He visited the neonatal intensive care unit to hand over the cheque and met some of the babies cared for there.

Seven-year-old Fenton Reid from Andover, who receives treatment at Salisbury District Hospital for asthma and eczema, raised £193 through a cake sale at his school.

Chris Rolfe and Jane Stevens-Smith from Wilton Estate presented a cheque for £3,066 to doctors at the hospital, which was raised through this year’s Wilton Estate Easter Egg.

The event, which attracted about 3,000 people, is one of the ways the Wilton Estate, home of Stars Appeal president Lord Pembroke, supports the appeal.
