IT was wheelbarrows and spacehoppers at the ready at the Western Downland school fete in Damerham at the weekend.
The fete, organised by the Friends of Western Downland School, proved to be a great success, with parents, staff and pupils turning out in force to enjoy the sunshine, entertainment and competitions.
Highlights of the event included children’s races with the wheelbarrow and spacehopper races proving to be particularly strongly contested.
Headteacher Kim Wilcox said: “This was a fantastic event organised by the friends’ association. I would personally like to thank the friends for their hard work and commitment to making this such a successful day.”
