AUDITORS have issued a highly critical report on Wiltshire Council’s accounts for the last financial year.
KPMG’s interim report makes 50 recommendations the council must act on - 18 of them high priority.
A spokesman said the council had a projected overspend of just £200,000, against a net budget of more than £332million.
Council leader Jane Scott said she is confident improvements have been made since the audit was carried out and the report does not reflect how the council is managing now.
