JOUSTING, chainsaw carving and a dog show are on the cards for this year’s Salisbury Community Show.
The organisers of the show, supported by the Salisbury Journal, hope to pull in the crowds with an array of entertainment for all the family including a classic car show, terrier racing and Wild West demonstrations, which proved a big hit last year will also be returning.
Show administrator Gayle Trask said: “Each day is a full day’s entertainment for everyone. The whole family can come along and find something fun to do – including the dog.”
There will be events running in the main arena throughout the day and a number of local organisations will take the opportunity to run stalls to let people find out more about what they do and what they can offer to the community.
There will also be a flower marquee and plant swap section, a craft and gift marquee, duck races, falconry and plenty of refreshment stands.
The Scouts and the Dogs Trust charity are also set to benefit from some of the funds raised at the event.
The show will be held at Hudsons Field from 10am to 5pm on July 10 and 11. Entry is £5 for adults, £4.50 for OAPs, £2 for children under 14 and children in pushchairs can go in for free.
