COWBOYS and Indians paraded through the streets of Winterslow on Saturday for the village’s summer fair.
The event, which had a Wild West theme, started at 1.15pm when the procession set off from the village hall towards the recreation field opposite the primary school.
On the field there were various stalls including a raffle and tombola, tents serving refreshments, games, entertainment, a barbecue and a tug of war.
There was also line dancing and maypole dancing in the main arena, with all money raised going to the Friends of Winterslow School.
Sarah Day, from the Friends, said the event is the group’s biggest fundraiser and usually raises a couple of thousand pounds.
“It was a really good day,” she said. “Wild West seemed a popular theme and the weather pulled lots of people out as well.”
