A GOLDEN dragon was brought to life at the weekend as 300 youngsters learnt all about mosaic art.
Brownies at Berwick St James discovered how to cutting tiles and place the pieces in a jigsaw style, eventually shaping Gruff the Golden Dragon.
Under the guise of five fictional Dragons and with the help of artist Joanna Dewfall, the girls split into groups and covered many games and challenges relating to the fire-breathing beasts.
Brownie Guide commissioner Chris Ellis said: “They've all had a wonderful weekend, learning new skills. The water-based activities have been a real bonus for them in the heat, helping them let off a bit of steam.”
