GRUESOME murder mysteries waiting to be solved by budding crime scene investigators on at Chafyn Grove School this week.
Police were on hand to help pupils in Year 8 learn more about the scientific processes involved in fighting crime in a CSI day held as part of the schools leaver programme.
They learnt about blood typing, gunshot analysis, discovering fingerprints and searching areas for evidence and how to apply these skills to solving crime.
Six members of Wiltshire’s police force were on hand to help make the task more realistic, including a dog team who displayed how they are trained to detain criminals.
The murder mystery was soon solved after all the evidence was collected and the ‘culprit’ was led away in handcuffs.
