POLICE are appealing for help in identifying the man they want to question connection with two shoplifting offences at Matalan on Southampton Road, Salisbury.
The first incident occurred on May 14 at about 5.30pm when a man entered the store, filled a basket with jeans, jumpers and t-shirts worth in total between £100 and £150, and left the store without paying.
The second incident, on June 7 at about 12.40pm, followed the same pattern. In this incident a man filled a basket with several pairs of jeans worth about £150, and again left the shop without paying for them.
Officers are currently treating the two incidents as linked.
The man in both cases is described as white, of medium build, about 40 years old, with shoulder length brown hair. He may have used a Citroen Saxo to leave the area following the first incident.
