POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two mopeds were stolen from Salisbury, one of which was later set on fire.
The mopeds were stolen from Lower Road, Quidhampton, and an area near Rawlence Road between 11.30pm on June 8 and 5am on June 9.
Officers from Wiltshire Police followed two offenders who were riding the moped stolen from Lower Road into Maryland Close, where it was abandoned.
The second bike was found on fire in a field near to Salisbury High School.

PC Trevor Morgan of the priority crime team at Salisbury is appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious to contact him.
“Although two teenagers are currently on bail for these offences we believe that there were others involved,” he said.
“If anyone saw the mopeds at the relevant times, I would be grateful if they contacted me as soon as possible.”
