STEPHANIE Monteau, who is the current Miss Saintes, visited Greentrees Primary school at Bishopdown Farm to chat with the 34 pupils in Panthers Class.
The pupils asked her all about French food, how she became Miss Saintes, whether she can keep her tiara and sash, and questions about life in France.
Next year pupils will be working on a bilingual recipe book.
This will be a collaboration between their linked school in Saintes, which has been twinned with Salisbury since 1990.
For the past six weeks Stéphanie has been working as an intern with Salisbury & District Chamber of Commerce.
