SPACE races, dribbling and javelin were all on the cards for children at a sports festival today.
Year 10 students from Avon Valley College were activity leaders at the Fundamentals Festival held at the school.
Youngsters from Larkhill Primary and Durrington Infant schools got the chance to try about 15 different activities including hit and run cricket and football.
Avon Valley PE teacher Mark Potter said: “The course teaches them lots of different skills like responsibility and organisation, interaction and how to work with young people.
“It has given them hands on experience at developing different career paths and all the students have found it really enjoyable.”
The year three primary school pupils were taking part in the fun day as part of their development in learning the basics of sport, promoting the ABC of exercise – agility, balance and co-ordination.
