A LITTLE Ringwood girl who lost her mum after a horrific attack has handed over an amazing £3,800 to the hospital that tried to save her.

Morgan Light, 5, was the only witness to the attack on Jenny Craigdaillie, who was attacked in her Verwood home by her ex-partner Anthony Rose, 40.

Rose, of Whiteheart Gardens, Ringwood, was jailed for six years after admitting manslaughter when he appeared at Winchester Crown Court in March.

Morgan joined friends and family in a sponsored cycle ride to raise money for the hospital where her mum was treated.

Jenny, a popular hairdresser, died a month after being attacked and strangled. Her injuries were complicated by the fact that she suffered from mild platelet dysfunction and acquired haemophilia, for which she was being treated at the hospital.

Morgan is now being brought up by her grandparents, David and Maggie Craigdaillie at their home in Ringwood.

The couple, along with family members and friends, joined Jenny's former colleagues from the Townhouse salon in Ringwood for the ride along Bournemouth promenade.

"We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made it a success, especially Townhouse Hair Salon staff," said Maggie.

"Our thanks also to the numerous businesses who donated raffle prizes, sponsors who gave so generously and everyone who helped on the day."
