THE Salisbury community has been invited to dig out their old teddy bears to support the latest fundraising appeal by children’s charity Barnardo’s.
The Salisbury shop plans to find new homes for the donated bears and is also encouraging the donation of good quality toys, books and games.
The money the items raise will help to support disadvantaged children across the UK.
Manager Sandra Tidesley said: “We hope this will be a fun appeal which will bring back many fond memories for families, as well as raising much needed funds for a good cause.”
“It will also be the perfect excuse to have a good clearout, passing on any unwanted gifts which can then be enjoyed by other children. Donors have a tidier house, and vulnerable families have a brighter future.”
The charity store on Catherine Street also needs more volunteers.
