THE Royal Mail worker who brutally murdered a former Salisbury City FC steward will face 15 years behind bars.
Roger Kearney stood in the dock at the Royal Courts of Justice in London today to hear how long his life sentence for killing Saints steward Paula Poolton would be.
This afternoon, Mr Justice Silber told the 57-year-old of Painswick Close, Sarisbury Green, that he would spend a minimum of 15 years in jail.
Following a six-week trial at Winchester Crown Court, a jury took 12 hours to find the father-of-two guilty of stabbing Mrs Poolton and dumping her body in the boot of her car in October 2008. The car was found by police in Duncan Road, Park Gate, 11 days later.
