Hi everyone, welcome to this week’s Gang page.
What does your school garden look like? I received an email last week about a new initiative to get teachers, pupils and anyone else who wants to get involved to develop their school gardens. Launched by the Royal Horticultural Society, Get Your Grown-ups Growing will run in October, with primary schools across the country planning gardening events at which parents, grandparents and other adults can join the children and have fun in the garden.
Registration is now open, and teachers signing up will receive a free pack containing guides and activity ideas, as well as seeds, posters and stickers. So why not get your school involved and transform your school garden? You’ll have great fun and learn lots of fun skills too. To register or find out more, visit www.rhs.org.uk/gygg.
Above is a picture of Gang winner Isabelle Smith with the Smelly Book she won. I hope you enjoyed reading – and smelling – the story!
This week we’ll be finding out about an exciting colouring competition you can take part in, and there are tickets to the Yeovilton Air Day up for grabs.
And before I go, I’d like to wish a very happy belated birthday to our new member William Bailey, who celebrated his first birthday on Friday.
See you next week, Kirsty
