THE Bishop of Salisbury said goodbye to children at the Cathedral School and blessed their new altar front on Monday.
All 190 children at the school helped to create the new altar front in their art lessons over the last six months. The design, a tree that goes through the seasons, was the idea of the school’s art teacher Gillian Bathe.
The Rt Rev David Stancliffe held a farewell assembly at the school and blessed the altar front for the school chapel. He also presented the school with a portrait of himself as the school has portraits of all the previous bishops.
