THE Autistic Spectrum Disorders Group, run by Community First New Forest, has received a donation of £50 from the Toys Exchange and Donate Scheme.
The donation will be used toward the group's running costs.
Project co-ordinator Carol Malky said: "There is very little support available to parents when their child is diagnosed with ASD. We offer a forum for parents where they can assist each other.
"We have held 11 meetings over the last year and the group is constantly growing with over 50 parents now registered in the Ringwood area alone.
"We have been told by parents that we are the only real help out there on this side of the Forest and therefore any financial help we can get to continue our work is very important."
The Toys Exchange and Donate Scheme recycles and reuses children's toys and clothes, and profits are used to benefit local charitable causes.
