THE Liberal Democrat opposition on Wiltshire Council has chosen a new leader.
Melksham councillor Jon Hubbard takes over from Trevor Carbin, who led the 24-strong group through the first year of the unitary council.
Mr Hubbard said: “This is a challenging time for local government and we will be carefully monitoring the actions of the Conservative administration here in Wiltshire and challenging them when their actions are unfair or are not in the public's best interest. Liberal Democrats will offer a positive and constructive alternative.”
