FOUR New Forest people have been awarded honours on the Queen’s birthday.
Professor John Graham Shepherd, from Fordingbridge, who is a professorial research fellow in earth system science at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton, receives a CBE for services to science.
Verderer Miss Dionis Maisie MacNair from Ringwood receives an MBE for services to the New Forest. Sara Locock, deputy lieutenant and former chairman of New Forest magistrates, has been made an MBE for services to the community.

And Special Constable Miss Ann Sevier from Fordingbridge receives the MBE for voluntary service to the police.
